NOW

This is what I’m up to right now.

I’m an empty nester now that Murphy has gone off to his first year at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.  The grocery bill is a little lighter these days as is the weight of the laundry basket.  So, now the focus turns from taking care of my son to taking care of myself.

With an initial burst of energy, I got this website off the ground a couple of years ago to find a place for my musings.  I’ve got a lot of different interests and creative pursuits.  Things have gone a little dormant here, but with the COVID pandemic having taken place, I’ve come back here to fill in some of the missing holes.

I haven’t really told anyone yet, but after years of TALKING about doing voice over work, I’m actually taking action.  I’ve invested in some classes, a new microphone, headphones, and a professional interface in my makeshift in-home recording studio with the hopes of practicing and putting together a demo.  I’m not hurting financially, so this is mainly to satisfy my creative pursuits.  Of course, if COVID continues to eat up my officiating and announcing income, it may have to act as a replacement.  We’ll see where this takes me!

Traveling is always on the docket for me.  I have points and miles built up.  Especially since COVID has shut a number of places down, I haven’t decided where or when to go next.  After going to Mexico, Japan, and Dubai, Murphy and I never got to take that last big trip before he left for college.  Maybe that will happen someday.
