Share your story! Valentine’s Day is coming!

Here’s our story:

-How’d you guys meet? On a dare in 7th grade from my best friend

-First Date? At McKinley Middle School – Cedar Rapids, IA

-How long have you been together? 35 years

-Age difference? She’s a little older—she just turned 126.

-Who was interested first? I was.

-Who is taller? Sometimes she’s 7’4 1/8” tall, other times she’s 7’ 11 5/8” tall—either way, taller than me!

-Who said I love you first? I did.

-Most impatient? Me – especially going into the fifth set.

-Loudest? Me, especially if I’m courtside with a microphone in my hand.

-Falls asleep first? At qualifiers, she’s always awake before I am and goes to bed after me.

-Better morning person? She’s always ready to go in the morning!

-Where do you eat out most as a couple? Usually at a concession stand in between matches.

-Who is the neat freak? She’s pretty constant, but sometimes her antennae go crooked.

-How long did it take to get serious? Probably after seeing someone crush a ball inside the 10 foot line for the first time.

-Plans date night? They’re usually planned for us and last all day and night, sometimes for several straight days.

-Who wears the pants in the relationship?: She is always in control, I have to figure out how to make it work.

-Hogs the remote? Me – there’s plenty to watch, especially in the fall!

-Did you go to the same school? She’s gone to a lot of schools, actually.

-Who drives? I always have to travel to her.

-Where is the furthest you two have traveled? We’ve been all over the country together!
